HarmonyCa is Allergan's first and only preparation combining cross-linked hyaluronic acid with a high concentration of calcium hydroxyapatite in a single syringe. Traditional CaHA products (like Radiesse) do not contain cross-linked HA — HarmonyCa delivers HA volumetric and CaHA biostimulatory effects simultaneously:

Standard CaHA preparations (like Radiesse) contain calcium hydroxyapatite in a carboxymethylcellulose carrier — without cross-linked HA. HarmonyCa is a hybrid: CaHA 55.7% + cross-linked HA 20 mg/ml in a single syringe. This delivers the simultaneous HA volumetric effect (immediate lifting and volume) and CaHA biostimulatory effect (long-term collagenesis). Rather than choosing between an HA filler and a CaHA biostimulator — the physician applies both mechanisms in a single treatment.

Why does the 55.7% CaHA concentration matter?

Higher CaHA concentration (55.7%) with 25–45 µm particle size provides more intensive and sustained fibroblast biostimulation than lower-concentration preparations. The 25–45 µm particle fraction is optimal — large enough to initiate collagenesis, small enough to degrade predictably without granule formation.
